In the time it takes
This film is available to view on You tube and on the All One World website.
In a sense this was not a video at all. The film was shot on a small digital camera and most of it is based on still shots, with some video footage from the digital camera used on the opening titles. It was edited on Pinnacle Studio Ultimate with which I was able to superimpose the newsreel type footage, and the edge effects I got by using a green screen filter.
I owe a big thanks to Michelle and Miriam, the two girls, who immediately got into the characters of the two 'thoughtless shoppers' and provided a very convincing portrayal of decadent western consumerism as a backdrop to the images and sounds of the third world.
